The Original Rider Waite Tarot Pack

There were a few comments here about the cards being too rough and more of interest to those interested in the history then in the art. That is true. The style is art nouveau here more then in the newer decks. Some of the newer art looks like the worst sort of shallow New Age-y stuff. On the other hand some of them are gorgeous. If you go for the simplest version this is probably it. It promises there will be no odd variation and it is beautiful in a certain way. On the other hand rivers and other details do not show up, there is colour run-through, and the colours themselves are a bit odd.

Universal Waite Tarot Deck and Book Set

This is not really the Waite Tarot. It is only based on the Waite Tarot.

Also, the cards have a slick feeling that I do not like.

If you know that these cards are not truly the Waite Tarot, maybe you will like them. I went by their name only, and so was disappointed. This should teach me to read the fine print.

The product is great, it arrived on time and well packaged. It is the deck and the book with a story for each card, also with the instructions of how to play. The images are great and the size too. It was a fast purchase and well explained, Amazon is really good.
